The original porch had full length screens, water-stained dark wood, and very little privacy from neighbors. The new porch is colorful and bright, meant for fun and flip flops. It was reconstructed with half height walls, painted a bright white, and given a ceiling fan. The floor was repainted in a historic porch floor aqua, and covered with a custom floor cloth which features the family pets frolicking amongst giant lobsters and lemon wedges! A bench designed by Emilie Brzezinski, noted artist and mother to Mika, contrasts with more traditional wicker furnishings.
